The Utah flag consists of the Utah State Seal on a field of navy blue encircled by a golden circle.  In the center of the seal, a white shield with the state symbol of a beehive sits with sego lily on either side, representing peace. The shield is pierced by 6 arrows crosswise. The word "Industry" is written in blue which is meant to mean steady effort. The United States National Flag flows behind the shield showing support of the nation. On top of the shield, an American Eagle sits with his wings reached out showing protection whether during peace or war. 2 dates are displayed on the flag, 1847 and 1896. 1847 to represent the year the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was reestablished by Brigham Young in the state of Utah and 1896 representing the year Utah joined the Union of the United States. 3x5 South Dakota State Flag For Sale The flag of the state of South Dakota sits on a field of sky blue. The state seal in dark blue is centered on the flag within a white circle outlined in dark blue. Radiating from this circle are golden triangles representing the suns rays and the great weather typical of South Dakota. Encircling the seal are the words "South Dakota" on top with the state nickname "The Mount Rushmore State" on the bottom.  The South Dakota State seal was originally designed before statehood, while it was still a territory; however slight alterations have been made since becoming a state. The outer ring contains the words "State of South Dakota" on the top with "Great Seal" on the bottom along with the year 1889, which is the year of statehood. Within the state seal, there is a banner which reads "Under God the People Rule". The picture features a river with a boat, a farmer, hills, cattle, and a mine. These images invoke the mind to remember the state's commerce, agriculture, natural resources, and industry. All reproductions of the state seal by law must be specifically in accord with and based on John Moisan's original painting of the states Great Seal.  In 1992 the state's nickname changed to its current lingo from "The Sunshine State pre-1992 flags will have these words on the bottom of the state seal image. The state flag was set on a field of dark blue until 1963 when it was changed to the current color of sky blue. 3x5 New Jersey State Flag For Sale The New Jersey state flag is the state's coat of arms centered on a buff colored field and adopted in 1896. The buff colored field represents the colors of George Washington's uniform. The state coat of arms features a shield with three plows with a forward-facing helmet and a horse head above it. These symbolize New Jersey governs itself. Two women support the shield, Liberty on the left holding a liberty cap on her staff, and Agriculture on the right holding an overflowing cornucopia. A ribbon flows from both their feet which reads "Liberty and Prosperity 1776" (1776 is the year New Jersey became a state.) A "silver" 5 pointed star with the word "Nevada" underneath it sits between two sprays of green sagebrush, forming a half circle. 3x5 Connecticut State Flag For Sale The Connecticut State flag is Azure Blue with a white baroque shield on top of it. There are three grapevines on the shield, each with three bunches of purple grapes. Below the shield is a banner with the Connecticut state motto which reads "Qui Transtulit Sustinet," which is translated to "He who transplanted still sustains." The flag was inspired by the seal of Saybrook Colony, which the state of Connecticut bought in 1644. This seal transferred to Connecticut and they reduced the 15 grapevines down to 3 grapevines.
