The current flag of the state of Utah was officially adopted in February 2011 and replaced the previous state flag, which was a similar flag that had been in use since 1913.
The Utah flag consists of the Utah State Seal on a field of navy blue encircled by a golden circle. In the center of the seal, a white shield with the state symbol of a beehive sits with sego lily on either side, representing peace. The shield is pierced by 6 arrows crosswise. The word "Industry" is written in blue which is meant to mean steady effort. The United States National Flag flows behind the shield showing support of the nation. On top of the shield, an American Eagle sits with his wings reached out showing protection whether during peace or war. 2 dates are displayed on the flag, 1847 and 1896. 1847 to represent the year the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was reestablished by Brigham Young in the state of Utah and 1896 representing the year Utah joined the Union of the United States.

The current state flag of Vermont was officially adopted on June 1, 1923, and consists of the state's coat of arms on a field of azure along the state name and motto, "Freedom and Unity", in white on a red ribbon. The motto balances the two main ideals of the state, the freedom of the individual and the welfare of the common good. The state seal is supported on both sides by pine branches with pine needles, representing the small pine branches worn at the battle of Plattsburgh during the War of 1812. The state seal has a shield with a pine tree in the center representing the state's forests. Under the pine tree stands a cow and 3 sheaves of wheat, which represent the strong Vermont industries of dairy and agriculture while behind the pine tree the Green Mountains are shown. On top of the shield sits a deer's head showing the wildlife of Vermont.
The Vermont State flag has multiple variations and versions throughout the state's history. The original state flag was the same flag as the flag of the Green Mountain Boys. Later it was changed to look similar to the National Flag of the United States, only to later once again be changed to avoid confusion with the US Flag.
Proposals emerge in the state to revert the flag back to its original state flag of the Green Mountain Boys; however, no bill has been successful.
NOTE only the current official Vermont State flag is for sale at this time. If interested in a historical version please reach out to us and we will see if we can help you obtain them.

The Commonwealth of Virginia state flag consists of the obverse of the Virginia State Seal on a field of dark blue. The flag was first adopted in 1861, at the beginning of the American Civil War and then additional standardization to the flag in 1950.
In the center of the flag, the seal sits with a female figure personifying the Roman virtue of Virtus, a figure of peace. She stands in a victory pose with the battle already won with the tip of her long spear facing down as she uses it as a rest. In her other hand, she holds a sheathed sword, a parazonium, which is a sword not of combat but on authority. Her foot stands on the chest of Tyranny, representing Great Brittain. The royal crown lay on the ground representing the Commonwealths new freedom from the monarchical control of the king. The figure of tyranny has a broken chain in his left hand with a useless whip in his right. These are symbolic of Virginia breaking the chains of tyranny and the relief from torturing whips used as acts of punishment by Great Brittian. Tyranny wears a robe of purple signifying Julius Ceasar and the Roman King Tarquinius Priscus.
This image is encircled by sprigs of Virginia Creeperred flowers. In between the image and flowers at the top is the word "Virginia" with the words at the bottom reading "Sic Semper Tyrannis." Which translates to "Thus always to tyrants" but more popularly the motto is said to mean "Get your foot off my neck."
Virginia State Seal
When the colony of Virginia declared it's independence from Great Britain a committee was appointed to make an official seal for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The committee had only 4 members, Richard Henry Lee, George Mason, George Wythe, and Robert Carter Nicholas Sr., and as they did not want the seal to mimick the coats-of-arms used in Great Britain in the slightest they opted for a design inspired by Ancient Rome and adopted a two-sided Seal. (shown below)
While the Great Seal (obverse side) is described above displaying on the flag the reverse contains 3 Roman goddesses, representing blessings of freedom and peace. The center goddess is the matron Libertas, the goddess of individual liberties, holding a wand with a Phrygian cap hanging from the top signifying her magical gifts. On her left, Ceres stands, the Roman goddess of agriculture. She holds an enormous stalk of wheat in one hand and a horn of plenty in her other to signify the abundance of Virginias harvest. On Libertas's right, Aeternitas stands to represent the eternity of Virginia. She holds a golden ball, a symbol of authority, with a phoenix standing on the ball to represent the effective government in the Commonwealth. Above the goddesses the motto of "Perseverando" which translates to "Persevering." Said to represent a reminder to all future generations the need to persist in maintaining the blessings of liberty.

The flag of Washington (the U.S. state) is set on a field of green a features the state seal of Washington, which happens to be an image of the first United States President George Washington and is the reason for the states name. The state of Washington is the only state flag that has a field of green, and the only state flag with the image of an American President on it. Around the image of Washington are the words "The Seal of the State of Washington 1889." 1889 references the year Washington became a state.
The flag of the state of Washington was officially adopted on March 5, 1923 which means the state had no official flag for 34 years even though the State attempted to have one prior. Representative William J. Hughes proposed a commission to adopt a state flag; however, it was opposed by patriotic groups like the Sons of Veterans and the Sons of the American Revolution, stating that a state flag would be detrimental to the national flag. The Washington Daughters of the American Revolution are credited with getting the flag adopted.
Prior to an official state flag Washingtons military did have a flag which was blue bunting with a golden profile of George Washington, which was first carried by the Washington Volunteer Infantry during the Philippine-American War. Also popular during the time of statehood until an official state flag was the state Seal in gold on a purple or green field.
Washington State Seal
During the state constitutional convention on August 21, 1889, Washington adopted it's state Seal, which was actually 1 month prior to officially becoming a state. The seal was updated in 1967 to display a better picture of George Washington based on Gilbert Stuart's famous portrait of him.
While the seal has never been shrouded in controversy there was an attempt to change the state seal dramatically in 2010; however the proposal never qualified to be on the state ballot for the citizens to vote on. The proposed change would remove the image of Washington and replace it with the image of a tax payer with a tapeworm dressed in a three-piece suite attached to it's lower intestine. The words circling the image would be changed to "Committed to sucking the life blood out of each and every tax payer.”
Below is an image of the 1st flag of the state of Washington which also shows the original state seal.

The flag of West Virginia has had changes over the course of its statehood. The current state flag of WV was adopted March 7th, 1962 by the state legislature. A blue stripe bored on all 4 sides a field of pure white with the states coats of arms in the center of the flag. The West Virginia state seal is wreathed by 2 swags of Rhododendron maximum with a red ribbon above the seal reading "State of West Virginia". The white field is to symbolize purity while the blue represents the bond of the Union. 2 other red ribbons appear on the flag, one tied and one reading "Montani Semper Liberi" which translates to "Mountaineers are always free."
The state's coat of arms features two men; a farmer and a miner, to represent agriculture and industry in the state. The farmer holds an ax and a plow in front of a corn stalk while the miner holds a pickax with a sledgehammer and anvil behind him. The men stand on either side on a boulder which is inscribed with the date "June 20 1863", which is the date West Virginia joined the Union. In front of the boulder laying on the ground are two crossed rifles and a Phrygian cap, also called the cap of Liberty. These are symbolic of the state's fight to obtain liberty.

The Wisconsin State Flag is a blue flag with the state coat of arms in the center. Above the WI State coat of arms are the words "Wisconsin" and below the seal the year "1848", the year Wisconsin was founded. These were added to the original flag to help differentiate it from similar state flags with the same blue color. The seal has the state motto of "Forward" in a banner above a shield with a badger on top of it. The badger is the state animal of W.I. Within the shield in the center is the United States coat of arms with the motto "E Pluribus Unum" to show the unity of the state and the country.
The golden shield is broken into 4 sections around the US coat of arms. The top left of the shield has a plow representing the states strong agriculture industry. The top right of the shield features a pick and shovel showing its strong ties to the mining industry. The bottom left of the shield displays an arm and hammer to show the manufacturing industry within the state. Finally, the bottom right of the state coat of arms shield shows an anchor representing the seas and navigation.
The Shield is supported by a sailor and a miner (yeoman.) These 2 figures represent the labor on water and on land within the state. Below the shield is a cornucopia to show the prosperity and abundance of the state of Wisconsin along with 13 lead ingots. These ingots represent the wealth of minerals in the state as well as the original 13 colonies of America.

The Wyoming State Flag has the same colors of red, white, and blue as the national flag. The flag is a field of red with a blue rectangle in the center that has a thin white border. In the center of the field of blue sites a mighty white bison with the Wyoming state seal on the bison.
The red is said to represent the native Americans who were in Wyoming long before the settlers as well as the blood of the pioneers who spilled their blood to claim the land. Purity and uprightness are represented in the whiteness of the flag while the blue represents justice, fidelity, virility, and the Wyoming skies.
The WY State flag was officially adopted in 1917 after a 1916 contest for flag designs. The winner received $20 (almost $500 factoring in inflation.)
The Great Seal of the State of Wyoming:
The great seal was originally adopted in 1893 and revised in 1921. The seal is a circle with the words "Great Seal of the State of Wyoming" encircle it. A draped statue-like figure stands in the center holds a staff with a ribbon which reads "Equal Rights." This represents the fact that women have enjoyed equal rights in Wyoming since 1869. The statue sits on a platform with the mighty eagle underneath of it. Under the Eagle is a shield with a star on top with the number 44 to show Wyoming as the 44th state. The shield has 13 stripes representing the original 13 colonies of America. On the sides next to the shield are ribbons which read "1869" and "1890" which are the years of the organization of Wyoming government and it's year of admission to the Union respectively. On either side of the statue-like centered figure are 2 gorgeous pillars with the lamps on top burning the Light of Knowledge. Wrapped around the one pole are the words "Livestock" and "Grain" while the other pillar has a banner which reads "Oil" and "Mines" which were the 4 major industries in Wyoming at its adoption. 2 male figures representing the industries of mining and livestock support the pillars.
